Israeli filmmaker and jury head of IFFI 2022, Nadav Lapid called Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files a ‘vulgar, propaganda’ film at the festival. Soon, after his speech went viral, we saw several fans and celebs slamming Nadav including the cast of the Vivek Agnihotri directorial. Anupam Kher took to his Twitter account and wrote, “No matter how high the height of the lie is… It is always small in comparison to the truth.” झूट का क़द कितना भी ऊँचा क्यों ना हो.. सत्य के मुक़ाबले में हमेशा छोटा ही होता है.. pic.twitter.com/OfOiFgkKtD — Anupam Kher (@AnupamPKher) November 28, 2022 Darshan Kumar told E Times, “Everyone has their own individual opinions on anything they see and perceive. But one can’t deny the fact is that The Kashmir files is a film which has depicted the actual plight of Kashmiri pandit community, who are still fighting for justice against the brutal acts of terrorism.” He further added, “So this film is not on vulgarity but on reality.” A sensitive issue of

'Never Easy, But Always Worth It’: Jasprit Bumrah returns to training, raises hopes of India comeback; watch video

Jasprit Bumrah has been missing in action for quite sometime now and has already sat out of two major events this year — the Asia Cup as well as the T20 World Cup. And the Indian pace spearhead isn’t part of India’s tours of New Zealand and Bangladesh either, given he is yet to be declared fully fit from the back stress injury that had ruled him out of the T20 World Cup that took place in Australia and concluded earlier this month. Bumrah, however, has given an update on his fitness status through a video posted on his official Instagram account in which he’s seen training hard in an indoor facility. “Never easy, but always worth it,” is what the Mumbai Indians pacer wrote in the caption of the video posted on Friday. Ramiz Raja reportedly threatens PCB boycott of 2023 ODI World Cup if India fail to tour Pakistan for Asia Cup

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has reportedly issued a stern warning to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), threatening to boycott the 2023 ODI World Cup if India failed to show up for the Asia Cup that is to be hosted in Pakistan next year. BCCI secretary and Asian Cricket Council chief Jay Shah had earlier said that the Indian team would not be travelling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, and that they would instead play at a neutral venue, ruffling feathers among the Pakistani cricketing community and causing the PCB to convene an emergency meeting with the ACC. Raja, a former Pakistan batter who had taken up a career in commentary before being appointed the board chief, further threw shade at the Men in Blue, saying that the Babar Azam-led Pakistan team had defeated the “billion-dollar economy team” twice in less than a year. “If Pakistan doesn’t take part in the World Cup scheduled in India next year, who will watch it? We have a clear stand: If the

IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians’ Auction Gamble Could Pay off as Jofra Archer Breathes Fire on Return

In the February mega auction ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, it was player No. 171 who caught the attention of everyone. England speedster Jofra Archer had registered himself for the auction but was only available for the 2023 and 2024 seasons due to an injury. The 27-year-old, who last played international cricket in the away series against India, underwent elbow surgery before a stress fracture on return to the County circuit ruled him out for the remainder of the English season back then. All this, however, didn’t affect Mumbai Indians’ plans one bit as the franchise went hard for the speedster at the mega auctions. MI owner Akash Ambani didn’t put the pedal down and the war between Rajasthan Royals and MI took the bidding to Rs 4.6 crores in a few minutes. Both RR and MI had acquired 12 players each till then but Mumbai’s superior purse – Rs 23.70 crores – allowed them to go all out for the seamer. SRH joined the party briefly towards the fag end before MI

India vs New Zealand 2nd T20I weather update: Rain threat looms large over Bay Oval, another washout on cards

Team India, who are seeking some game time, are likely to face a tough challenge from New Zealand when both sides lock horns in the second T20I of the three-match series on Sunday at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Notably, the series opener in Wellington was washed out due to continuous rain and the Indian players must be itching to get onto the park which, inarguably, has the most scenic backdrop. However, the bad news for the fans and the players is that the forecast for the second match doesn’t look promising either. The latest weather report suggests dark clouds over Bay Oval during the game time. There is a 90% chance of rain during the match, while the temperature on Sunday will hover in the range of 15-18 degrees Celsius with 80-85% humidity. But, there is still a slight chance of India vs New Zealand second T20I going ahead as the probability of precipitation is expected decrease in the evening. The match will begin at 7:30 PM local time (12 PM IST). Interestingly, the

India vs New Zealand: Umran Malik, Glenn Phillips and other players to watch out for in T20I series

Team India will look to put the disappointment of their ignominious exit from the T20 World Cup behind when they take on New Zealand in the first of the three T20Is on Friday. The Men in Blue endured yet another heartbreak in an ICC event as they bowed out of the T20 World Cup with a whimper, getting outplayed by eventual winners England by 10 wickets in Adelaide in the second semi-final. The defeat extended their wait for an ICC trophy, with the Indian team not having won a major global event since the 2013 Champions Trophy. Like India, New Zealand too were eliminated in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup after topping their group, failing to defend what would prove to be a sub-par total against Pakistan. Unlike the Indians however, the Black Caps did manage to collect a few wickets during Babar Azam and Co’s successful run chase. The two teams lock horns in three T20Is, which will then be followed by as many ODIs. Each game in the tour will take place in a different venue, with

Cricket Discipline Commission reprimands England's Alex Hales over controversial social media post

England batter Alex Hales was on Wednesday reprimanded by the Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) over an old photo of Hales himself, in a black face during a New Year’s party in 2009. After a picture of Hales in blackface was published by The Sun last year, Hales had in November 2021 apologised via an Instagram video. “The theme was musicians and Tupac is, was and always will be my favourite musician, so I went as him. I want to apologise for all the offence this has no doubt caused. It was incredibly reckless and foolish on my behalf, so I want to apologise for that, apologise to the club for the embarrassment it would have caused them. I guess my twenties was full of mistakes like that, reckless mistakes off the field that cost me, let down family, let down team-mates, let down friends, close relationships I had during my twenties,” the 33-year-old had said. In August, Hales was charged with a breach of ECB Directive 3.3. The directive states: “No such person may conduct himself
